During last night’s ESPY Awards, Chance the Rapper took the stage to pay tribute to late boxing icon Muhammad Ali by performing a new song.
The song opens with a 1977 clip of Ali talking about helping people after he retires form boxing. Chance was joined by Donnie Trumpet, Peter Cottontale, Jamila Woods, and Teddy Jackson. Prior to taking the stage, the rapper danced away his nerves with Steph Curry.
Following the stellar performance, Chance tweeted, “It was an honor. Rest in peace Muhammad Ali, He is in a much better place.”
