This Sunday’s Super Bowl will feature a familiar family.
Cheerios will bring back the controversial ad featuring an interracial family that initially appeared last May.
This time around, Gracie, the adorable little girl we’ve come to love, will be getting a little brother. But it seems Gracie came to the table prepared to negotiate!
Cheerios vice president of marketing Camille Gibson explained to CBS Money Watch why the company put their money behind the spot. “We fell in love with this family,” said Gibson. “We thought the big game provided an opportunity to tell a story about family love.”
The company will reportedly shell out $4 million for the ad to appear during the big game. As for those pesky critics who hated the previous commercial, they’ve disappeared. Comments on the new spot appear to be positive.
