Chris Brown Denied Request For Unsupervised Probation

This week, nearly a day to the 3rd anniversary when Chris Brown assaulted then-girlfriend Rihanna, a judge denied his attorney’s request for unsupervised probation, reports NBC. As it stands, Brown is required to report to a probation officer in his home state of Virginia.

The singer was sentenced to five years of supervised probation in 2009 for the altercation that occurred on the eve of the Grammy Awards. He was also hit with a restraining order that requires him to stay 10 yards away from Rihanna at all special events. This might prove a little difficult for Brown and Rihanna who are both attending the 54th Annual Grammy Awards this Sunday. Brown, who is nominated for three awards, will make his first appearance at the Grammys since 2008.

This year he is scheduled to perform alongside Lil Wayne in a special dance/electronica performance.

Ex-girlfriend Rihanna, who is nominated for four awards, will also be performing a song from her latest album Loud.
