Police in Los Angeles are currently seeking a search warrant for Chris Brown’s home after he allegedly threatened a woman with a gun, the Los Angeles Times reports.
According to the news outlet, officers responded to a woman’s call for help at the singer’s residence early Tuesday morning. The woman said the singer – previously embattled in a number of legal issues – violently threatened her with a gun.
Upon arriving to investigate the situation and search Brown’s home for the alleged gun, police say they were told to secure a search warrant before entering.
In three videos posted to his Instagram page, Brown maintained his innocence, saying he woke up to police presence at his home.
“I stay out of the way, take care of my daughter and do work,” he said. “I ain’t did shit.”

Police sources have confirmed that the case is now being handled by the LAPD Robbery Homicide Division due to the “high-profile” nature of those allegedly involved with the incident. Both Brown’s lawyer and an LAPD tactical warrant support unit were reportedly headed to the residence as of 9:00 a.m. Tuesday morning.
