In today’s feel good news, the Cincinnati Bengals have re-signed player Devon Still to help him pay for his daughter’s cancer treatments.
The Ohio football team cut Still from their roster last week, but he found out Friday morning that the team re-signed him to their practice squad.
“They could have washed their hands with me and said they didn’t care about what I was going through off the field,” Still said. “It’s kinda like a blessing in disguise for me.”
The defensive tackle’s new position allows him to receive medical insurance, a weekly salary of $6,300, and more time at home with his daughter Leah because the squad travels less.
Still learned that Leah had stage four pediatric cancer in June and often updates his followers about her journey on his Instagram page.
