In the special interview, conducted at New Hope Baptist Church where Whitney’s funeral was held, Houston says her days of grieving are far from over. “I have my moments,” she says. “I’m not there yet. I don’t think I’m any more courageous than anyone else.”
Recent details of Whitney’s death have been as troubling as her battles with drug addiction through the years. But Houston says her daughter’s demise never made her doubt her own parenting skills. “I know I did the best I could for everything,” she says. “I don’t blame myself.”
