Alicia Keys and producer-hubby Swizz Beats are expecting their second child. The songstress released the news via Instagram, by sharing an adorbale picture of the couple. Not only was the 33-year-old mom announcing their new baby on the way, but she was also celebrating her fourth wedding anniversary with Swizz. “Happy Anniversary to the love of my life @therealswizzz!!,” wrote Keys. “And to make it even sweeter we’ve been blessed with another angel on the way!! According to a press statement, Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kandi Burruss is set to take her stage production A Mother’s Love on tour this fall. Executive producing with her husband Todd Tucker, the newlyweds will also be working with Travis Steele, founder and CEO of Theatrical Works Live. The three-month-long tour will touch down across the country, appearing in 29 major cities, launching on September 4.
Wilberforce University, the U.S.’s oldest private HBCU, is facing financial difficulties this year after student enrollment has taken a dive. With their accreditation on the line, alumni have raised $2 million in cash donations, with another $400,000 coming in from a weekend alumni conference, to begin paying off the $9.7 million deficit. If the university losses it’s accreditation, it will no longer be able to provide federal financial aid to a majority of it’s students. [TheRoot]
With the Ebola virus taking over most of West Africa, Sierra Leone has declared a heath emergency. The president is implementing a plan to tackle the virus, in 90 days, by quarantining areas and banning public meetings. He has canceled his trip to the U.S. in order to address the virus. [Time]
