• It’s a boy! New York Knicks superstar Amar’e Stoudemire and wife Alexis Welch welcomed a healthy baby boy, Stoudemire confirmed on Twitter Wednesday. “We are proud to announce we added a healthy baby boy to the Stoudemire team,” he wrote. “Alexis and the baby are doing great. #Blessed” The couple, who recently jumped the broom in December, already have three kids—two boys and a girl. • Forbes is at it again! The powerful media company revealed its annual list of the World’s 100 Most Powerful Women. First Lady Michelle Obama came in at number four, while Oprah Winfrey snagged the 13th spot, Xerox CEO Ursula Burns earned the 14th spot and Beyoncé came in at number 17. [Forbes]
• Could Usher be working on his new album? According to singer and songwriter Eric Bellinger, the R&B veteran is hard at work in the studio. Bellinger says Usher’s looking to refocus his music in R&B. “[The album] is definitely still very commercial. It’s going to be on the radio and in the club,” he said. “He’s still Usher. • Yesterday, professional golfer Sergio Garcia apologized to Tiger Woods for his racially insensitive remarks. The two have been engaged in a war of words recently. The other night, Garcia joked he’d have Woods over for dinner and serve fried chicken. Garcia later apologized for his comments saying, “I want to apologize to Tiger and anybody that I could have offended. I feel sick about it. I’m truly, truly sorry. And I hope we can kind of settle things down and hopefully move on.” Tiger shared his disappointment via Twitter. “The comment that was made wasn’t silly,” tweeted Tiger. “It was wrong, hurtful and clearly inappropriate.” [ESPN]
