The Internet has been buzzing with rumors of a new Beyoncé album that may be scheduled for release later this month and at least one source is confirming that the rumors are true. Entertainment Tonight reports that Beyoncé is indeed releasing new music on November 24 in the form of a “platinum edition box set” complete with a live DVD of 10 performances from the Mrs. Carter world tour with artist commentary and a photo booklet, the original Beyoncé album and a DVD with the 17 accompanying music videos, and a limited edition 2014 Beyoncé mini-calendar. This deluxe package is also slated to feature new music including the “Flawless” Remix with Nicki Minaj, Pharrell Williams on “Blow,” and two new songs, “7/11,” and “Ring Off.” [ET Online]
Lupita Nyong’o shines and sparkles on the cover of Glamour‘s 2014 Women of the Year issue. This has certainly been the Year of Lupita, with the 12 Years A Slave star winning an Oscar, being named the “World’s Most Beautiful” by People, and becoming the face of Lancome. Now, the actress is opening up to Glamour about redefining success and beauty and her hope to plant some “seeds of possibilities” for young girls. “I’ve heard people talk about images in popular culture changing, and that makes me feel great, because it means that the little girl I was, once upon a time, has an image to instill in her that she is still beautiful, that she is worthy–that she can,” the 2014 Woman of the Year told Glamour. Kendrick Lamar is returning to Saturday Night Live as a musical guest on November 15 with host Woody Harrelson. This is his second appearance on the sketch comedy show. His first time he made a surprise, critically acclaimed appearance with Imagine Dragons. The Grammy-nominated rapper’s music will pop up frequently this NBA season, as his latest feel-good single “i” has been named the official NBA anthem this season. His new album is expected to drop sometime later this year. [The Source]
Just when you thought Chris Brown had his anger under control, the singer has lashed out at Tamar Braxton and Adrienne Bailon after they commented on his relationship with Karrueche Tran on The Real. The hosts were having a discussion about what to do when a friend is dating a guy you don’t approve of and used Brown’s relationship as an example. “We have to pull an inter-friend-tion with my girl Karreuche. I don’t know about this back and forth she got going on with my man Chris Brown,” Braxton said on the show. Bailon followed up with, “Some of her friends also reap the benefits of her dating Chris Brown.” Afterwards, Brown posted a now deleted Instagram photo of Bailon with an angry caption aimed at Braxton and Bailon. “”U can’t talk about relationship goals when you don’t even have life goals…It’s always the people with no career that talk all the sh–,” he wrote. He then proceded to call both Bailon and Tamar Braxton “ugly” and a whole host of other obscenities. He then posted an Instagram video of himself silently laughing, which has also been deleted. HBO is developing a new show. Bros is a comedy that will tell the story of three Black men–two straight, one gay–looking for love in Los Angeles. The series is being directed by Anthony Hemmingway of Red Tails, The Wire, and The Newsroom. Hemmingway will also act as executive producer along with Mark Taylor and Dear White People producer Lena Waithe. Watch the teaser trailer below.
