Faith Evans is facing a new tax lien for allegedly failing to pay more than $119,000 in taxes. According to documents filed by the state of California, Evans owes the money stemming from 2008 to 2012. This is not the signer’s first run in with the IRS; she was ordered to pay thousands over missed payments in 2010 and slapped with another lien in 2013 over more unpaid bills. [TMZ]
Columbus Short is facing a lawsuit from his alleged assault victim from a bar fight in March. In a suit filed Monday Felton Hyche III says he suffered a major fracture to his cheek and orbital bones following a bar fight between with Short. He also claims that the publicity and coverage of the confrontation caused him extreme embarrassment. Hyche III is seeking $1 million in damages. [The Wrap]
Nick Cannon stopped by E! News Monday to talk about his new children’s book featuring his twins Monroe and Moroccan, his relationship with wife Mariah Carey and living with Lupus. Cannon says he fights the chronic fatigue that comes with Lupus by staying healthy and busy. “My concept is, the more that I go and the more that I push and I stay on that regimen [in the gym, eating right, etc.], it kinda keeps me going so my body doesn’t get the opportunity to kinda be like, ‘Oh, I’m tired.'” [E!News]
President Obama and daughter Sasha took a hike Sunday and spent some quality time together. The pair headed to Great Falls Park in McLean, Virginia for s stroll through the woods. While the President and Sasha spent some time with nature, Malia Obama visited Disneyland with a friend ahead of her 16th birthday on July 4th. [E!News]
