• Just two episodes into its sixth season and BET has picked up The Game for yet another year. The company announced the news yesterday during an upfront presentation for ad buyers. BET also ordered a full season Being Mary Jane, a scripted TV movie starring Gabrielle Union. And lastly, among other additions, BET will revive Comic View, which will debut in late 2013. • Former Elmo puppeteer Kevin Clash is being sued by a fifth accuser claiming he engaged in sex with a minor. Kevin Kiadii, now 25, says he was 16 when he met Clash online. Clash’s lawyers haven’t responded to the latest allegations. [Grio]
• Michelle Obama welcomed 80 students to the White House yesterday for a screening of 42, a film about Jackie Robinson. Although her daughters haven’t seen it yet, she promises they will soon. “We think that everybody in this country needs to watch this movie,” said Mrs. Obama. “We walked away from that just visibly, physically moved by the experience of the movie, of the story.” [Pop Watch]
• Maya Angelou is releasing her seventh autobiographical memoir, Mom & Me & Mom. It explores Angelou’s relationship with her biological mother, who sent her to live in Stamps, Arkansas with her grandmother at a young age.
