Beyonce released a 15-second teaser of a remix of ‘Crazy in Love’ for the big screen adaptation of Fifty Shades of Grey. The clip shows the trailer for the highly-anticipated film, with a slowed down version of “Crazy in Love” playing in the background. There’s no official word on Beyonce’s involvement, but this isn’t the first time she’s been connected to the film. The song “Haunted” was featured in Fifty Shades footage back in March at CinemaCon. Former Destiny’s Child member Farrah Franklin was arrested early Sunday morning and charged with disorderly conduct. She was released around noon the same day on $281 bail. Franklin, 33, was also arrested for disorderly conduct back 2011. Although Franklin was only in the group for five months in 2000, she appeared in the music videos for both “Say My Name” and “Jumpin’ Jumpin’.” [People]
FX’s hit motorcycle club drama, Sons of Anarchy, has cast Malcolm-Jamal Warner to play in the final season. Warner, known best as Theo from The Cosby Show, will appear at least two episodes, as Sticky—a member of the Grim Bastards. The new season will premiere September 9th on FX. [HollywoodReporter]
Kobe Bryant attended a rally for Trayvon Martin in Crenshaw this weekend where he praised the slain teen’s parents, Sybrina Fulton and Tracy Martin, for their resilience. Bryant also addressed how athletes and celebrities like himself have a “responsibility” to help provide a platform for such stories to be told. [TMZ]
The creator of The Boondocks has done it again with a new comedy called Black Jesus. The series will follow the life of “Jesus” as he tries to cultivate a small group of followers in present-day Compton. The series will air on Adult Swim, starting this August, featuring John Witherspoon, Charlie Murphy and Corey Holcomb. Jesus will be played by Gerald “Slink” Johnson. Watch the trailer here:
