• Could there be a Best Man 3 in the works? Well, Morris Chestnut says it’s quite possible. In fact, he knows what will happen to his character in the next installment, should it come to life. “The people still have to speak,” said the actor. “When the people come and they show that the movie is successful there will be a third and [the director] is already breaking down some storylines for my character in the third movie. • Lauryn Hill is ready to take control of her career. The singer is set to hold her first concert since her three-month prison stint. In New York on November 27th, Hill will take over the Bowery Ballroom for two performances. Fans will remember that a judge delayed Hill’s house arrest to go on a mini tour from November 15th to December 31st. She will carry out her three-month home confinement sentence beginning New Year’s Day. [NJ.com]
• Queen Latifah says she’s beginning to take her own health seriously these days. The talk show host says after years of putting it off, she finally got her first mammogram done on Friday. “I was scheduled to do this a long time ago and then got an appointment and then work was so that it got away from me,” she told the NY Daily News. “I shared it because I felt that other people had busy schedules and let something important like that just get away from them.” Thankfully, Latifah received favorable results. • Tonight, First Lady Michelle Obama will appear on BET’s 106 & Park. She will discuss the important of education on the video countdown show. She will also talk about the role education played in her life, in addition to highlighting the president’s “North Star Goal” of having America be the nation with the highest proportion of college graduates in the world by the year 2020.
