Deborah Cox will lend her vocals to the forthcoming Whitney Houston biopic, directed by Angela Bassett. The movie will feature Houston’s music, however, a representative for Lifetime confirms that Cox will provide “vocal tracks” and that “music rights and clearances are still being worked out.” [E!News]
Gladiators can gear up for season four of Scandal as ABC has rolled out the air date for the hit show. Olivia Pope & Associates will return to your screens September 25 at 9 p.m. EST. The complete Shonda Rhimes lineup will premiere the same day starting with Grey’s Anatomy at 8 p.m. and How to Get Away With Murder at 10 p.m. ABC also announced that the upcoming series Black-ish will premiere Wednesday September 24 at 9:30 p.m. EST. Reelz has anounced a new reality series based on extended members of the Jackson family. The six-part series, titled Living with the Jacksons, will focus on Jermaine Jackson’s ex-wife, Alejandra Jackson and her five children – two of whom are with Jermaine’s brother Randy. The Boondocks writer/creator Aaron McGruder has signed a first-look development deal with Adult Swim to bring the live action/ adventure pilot called Hooligan Squad to the network. McGruder’s post Boondocks project Black Jesus is also set to premiere next month on Adult Swim. “It’s a rare thing to have a network home,” said McGruder. “…Adult Swim is headed to new horizons and I’m happy to be along for the ride.
