• Diddy is the richest man in hip-hop, according to Forbes’ latest celebrity net-worth rankings. Diddy’s fortune is estimated to be worth $580 million. The rest of the top five goes as follows: Jay-Z’s personal fortune is worth $475 million, Dr. Dre’s net worth is valued at $350 million, Birdmans’ is worth $150 million and 50 Cent’s fortune is valued at $125 million. Ironically, these five men were in these five same positions in 2012—however their net worths have increased in the last year. [Forbes]
• Kanye West set the internet on fire when reports hinted he would release an album titled, I Am God. However, an insider from his camp came forward to clarify that the ESSENCE Festival alum will release a song called “I Am A God” and that an album title has not been decided. The song is apparently a reference to Psalm 82. [Huffington Post]
• Howard University picked former President Bill Clinton to deliver its 2013 commencement address this May. In an announcement from the HBCU, Clinton was selected because of his leadership qualities, his humanitarian efforts and his commitment to public service. [Washington Post]
• Mark your calendars, Kelly Rowland’s new album, Talk A Good Game, hits stores on June 4. So far, the album will feature an appearance by Lil Wayne. Rowland is still working on her new BET show, What Would Dylan Do, which is slated for a fall premiere. [YBF]
