• Just days before his 26th birthday, Drake is celebrating one major accomplishment in his life: Graduating high school. The rapper broke the news on Twitter, “97% on my final exam. 88% in the course. One of the greatest feelings in my entire life. As of tonight I have graduated high school.” Drake even sent out a special thank you tweet to his teacher. “Thank you to my teacher Kim Janzen for spending the last 5 months working tirelessly with me!” Congratulations to Drake. • Robin Roberts will make a small cameo in an upcoming Halloween episode of ABC’s Nashville. Roberts plays herself as she interviews Juliette (Hayden Panettiere) on Good Morning America. Roberts shot the episode before taking medical leave in late August. [NY Post]
• Famed director Lee Daniels may have his eyes on a new film project. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Daniels is interested in directing a biopic based on the life of Janis Joplin. Get It While You Can will star Amy Adams and will allegedly depict a single day in Joplin’s life. [Hollywood Reporter]
• Questlove is set to teach a course this coming spring at New York University. His course, Classic Albums, will be offered for two credits and will take a closer look at what it means for an album to be dubbed as a “classic.” Some of the more famous projects the course will examine include Sly & The Family Stone’s Stand! There’s A Riot Goin’ On, Aretha Franklin’s Lady of Soul, Michael Jackson’s Off The Wall and more. [Billboard]
• Willow Smith is adding fashion blogger to her resume. The young starlet launched her own mini-fashion Tumblr page called “L’Art Des Chiffons.” According to Black Celeb Kids, it loosely translates into “Art of Rags.” The photoblog shows lots of pictures of Willow’s style in addition to street style pictures.
