• Fresh off her Grammy nomination for Best Gospel Song for “A Little More Jesus,” Erica Campbell of Mary Mary announces plans to release her first solo album, Help, in 2014. According to a short press release, Help will be released on March 25, 2014 with a new ballad of the same name getting the single treatment in January. Before then, Campbell and her sister Tina will hit the small screen in the third season of their WEtv reality show, which begins in early 2014. [EURweb]
• On Monday, Lamar Odom pled not contest to driving under the influence, according to his attorney. It was part of the troubled athlete’s plea agreement, under which he will receive three years probation and must attend a three-month alcohol-education program. On top of that, Odom will be forced to pay $1,800 in fines and other penalties. [People]
• 12 Years a Slave continues to ring in the big accolades during awards season. The heart-wrenching film picked up three awards at the Boston Society of Film Critics and Boston Online Film Critics Awards. • Will Smith put his fine abs and biceps on display during a recent trip to Isla El Descano off the cost of Beunos Aires, Argentina. The star is reportedly in the South American nation filming his new film, Focus. He and some select friends (perhaps castmates) were spotted hopping a boat to the remote island.
