• Forest Whitaker will receive the NAACP’s Chairman Award at the 45th annual NAACP Image Awards on February 22nd. The organization announced the news yesterday. “Forest Whitaker embodies the moniker of artist/activist,” said Roslyn M. Brock, Chairman of the NAACP National Board of Directors. “His work in front of and behind the camera engages and entertains, and his service to communities around the wold is truly inspirational. It is my honor and privilege to recognize Mr. Whitaker with the Chairman Award.” [Centric]
• T.I. and Tiny are pushing off rumors of divorce. The couple reportedly engaged in an argument that left many wondering if the end was near. T.I. tells TMZ they fought over whether or not they would walk the Grammy red carpet and attend the show—as what Tiny wanted. T.I. apparently didn’t want to. They reportedly challenged each other on who would eventually have more fun on Sunday night. [TMZ]
• Kanye West and the young man whom he argued with and alleged beat at a Beverly Hills chiropractor office have settled. The young man will receive $250,000 in exchange in lieu of pressing charges against West. Weeks ago the two got in a fight after the guy hurled racial epithets towards Kim Kardashian. [TMZ]
• The 2014 NBA All-Star Celebrity Game will feature some big names. Nick Cannon, Kevin Hart, Michael B. Jordan and Columbus Short have all signed up for the charity event. The exhibition will take place on February 14th in New Orleans. [People]
