• CBS This Morning anchor Gayle King has confirmed that Beyoncé isn’t pregnant. King said she received a call from Beyoncé’s camp. “I got a call yesterday from team Beyoncé you guys, and they’re basically saying stop the crazy, she is absolutely positively not pregnant at this time.” However, King says the couple wants to have kids in the future when the time is right. Rumors began swirling weeks ago that the ESSENCE Festival performer was with child. The cancellation of a concert date in Europe fueled rumors further. [CBS]
• George Clinton will write and publish a memoir about his life. The upcoming tell-all book will reportedly be published in 2014 via Atria. He enlisted the help of novelist and New Yorker editor Ben Greenman to help. Clinton’s book will cover his entire career including his addictions. “Clinton’s life is every bit as outrageous, revolutionary and intoxicating as his music,” said Malaika Adero, vice president and senior editor of Atria. • Mariah Carey’s set to release a brand new album this summer. The former American Idol judge revealed that July 23 will be her album release date. So far, the untitled project’s lead single, “#Beautiful,” has topped the charts in numerous countries around the world. She also recently announced she’s planning a world tour later this year. • Olympic gold medalist Usain Bolt says the 2016 summer Olympics in Rio will be his last. “I think I have four more years left in the sport, so now it’s all about dominating for those four years,” said Bolt to reporters. “I’m looking forward to the next Olympics to do something that’s never been done before. That’s one of my biggest goals right now.” Bolt earned three gold medals during the London Olympics in 2012. [NBC Sports]
