• Kelly Rowland and a few of her friends were rescued at sea on Friday after their boat broke down. According to E!, the singer and friends planned a day of whale watching off the coast of Provincetown, Mass. when things went a off course. The United States Coast Guard rescued the group after being stranded at sea for 12 hours. Despite the trouble at sea, Rowland didn’t let that stop her from enjoying her mini-vacation. She later went on to post a number of fun pictures on Instagram. [E! Online]
• Nelson Mandela’s health continues to improve. According to AP, Mandela’s health has made “sustained improvement” despite remaining in critical condition. That’s the latest news regarding the ill leader’s condition. South African President Jacob Zuma reportedly visited Mandela in the hospital Monday to share the support he received on his birthday. • LeToya Luckett is Centric’s newest host. The media company tapped the starlet to host it’s new half-hour series, CultureList. The series will feature exclusive celebrity interviews as well as segments on fashion, fitness, food and technology. Centric has ordered 10 episodes of the new series. [EURweb]
• Katherine Jackson’s cross examination testimony didn’t go so well on Friday. The judge presiding over the case adjourned court two hours early after Jackson said she needed to rest. When the defense went to examine Jackson in the ongoing case blaming AEG Live in Michael’s 2009 death, she became “confused and tired” after lawyers fired a number of difficult questions at her. Jackson is scheduled to return to the stand today for more questioning. [CNN]
