Just a few days after the release of her relationship guide, The Love Playbook, she nabbed the number one spot on the New York Times Bestsellers list in the Advice category. The book helps women avoid the problems and mistakes that she and her friends made in relationships. - Mariah Carey, Janelle Monae and Jennifer Hudson are among the artists booked to perform at the 2014 BET Honors. The annual award show, established to celebrate the achievements of exceptional African Americans, will honor Aretha Franklin, Ice Cube, Berry Gordy, American Express CEO Kenneth Chenault and visual artist Carrie Mae Weems. - 42 star Chadwick Boseman will receive the CinemaCon Male Star of Tomorrow Award at the 2014 CinemaCon, the official convention of the National Association of Theatre Owners. Pharell will kick off the weekend performing his hit single “Happy” during the player introductions. Janelle Monae and Earth, Wind & Fire are among the performers in a New Orleans-inspired collaboration during the halftime show. Kendrick Lamar will headline the Saturday night slam dunk contest.
