• Could things be turning around for Lamar Odom? Yesterday, his lawyer entered a not guilty plea on his behalf in court. Odom faces DUI charges from his arrest in August. Despite failing sobriety tests, Odom maintains his innocence. A pretrial date is scheduled for next month. • Jennifer Hudson said she’s tried to twerk but it just wasn’t happening. Hudson spoke with Rolling Stone recently about myriad of topics and among them was Miley Cyrus. She revealed that the controversial singer twerked for her at Pharrell’s birthday party, but she, herself, couldn’t get the hang of it. “I tried to do it,” said Hudson. “And nothing but my knee was moving. • Anthony Mackie says the hey day for Black movies has passed. In an interview with The Grio, the Mister and Pete star says, “That’s why you look at The Best Man Holiday that’s coming out… it’s the same people that was in The Best Man years ago,” he explained. “They don’t really make those movies anymore… I think we are in a period of people not getting the opportunities to do the movies that they want to do, so they’re starting to be creative.” [Rolling Stone]
• Usher says boxing is like dancing.
