Coffee Talk: Little Leaguer Mo'Ne Davis Scores 'Sports Illustrated' Cover

Here’s the news that’s getting us over the hump: Mo’Ne Davis has been on everyone’s mind ever since the 13-year-old Little Leaguer helped her team, the Philadephia Taney Dragons, reach the World Series. After throwing a 70 mph fastball shutout, she became the first girl to throw a shutout in World Series history. And Davis was just getting started. The eighth grader has made it all the way to the cover of Sports Illustrated, making her the first Little Leaguer to ever land there. “To be honest, I never thought I’d be famour for baseball,” said Davis. “I want to play basketball, and I could also do both basketball and baseball–but I really want to play basketball.” [SportsIllustrated] After weeks of wondering, Zoe Saldana has finally broken the baby bump news. Starring Alexandra Shipp, the new Aaliyah in Lifetime’s biopic, Drumline 2: A New Beat will follow the life of the Dani (Shipp), who is trying to become the first female lead percussionist.
