• Miguel will hit the stage at this year’s Billboard Awards set to air live on May 19 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. Not only will Miguel be performing, but he’s nominated for the newly created Milestone Award, in which fans get to vote for their favorite artists online. This year’s telecast will honor Prince with the Billboard Icon Award. The legendary singer will also perform for fans. Other newly announced acts include Taylor Swift, Justin Bieber and Bruno Mars. • Rihanna was the latest celebrity victim of a continuing swatting prank terrorizing the Hollywood Hills. Law enforcement responded to a call claiming two armed men were inside Rihanna’s Pacific Palisades home and that someone was shot. Yesterday, Diddy was the target of a similar prank call. There’s no word on who the perpetrator is. [TMZ]
• BET Networks has inked a deal to bring The First Family and Mr. Box Office to television screens in the near future. The unusual business deal will see these shows appear in syndication first, then branch off to cable then broadcast. Episodes of these comedies will begin airing on Centric beginning April 19. • Despite mending their broken relationship, NeNe Leakes is not so sure she and former Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kim Zolciak are “friends.” Leakes told Extra TV, “What Kim and I did was let the past be the past and agree to move forward. I just think the world ‘friend’ is a very strong word.” Zolciak felt different about the situation saying, they are in a “good place” now. Leakes has invited Zolciak to her upcoming summer wedding in Atlanta. [Extra TV]
