• Rapper Nelly woke up on the wrong side of the law recently. He was detained after Texas police officers found heroin, a loaded gun and marijuana on his tour bus Wednesday night. Nelly, along with six other passengers, were held. One member of his crew admitted to the drugs and weapon. He was arrested and is now awaiting bond. Nelly has since said he had no clue his staff was carrying drugs. “It is my understanding a member of my staff made an unfortunate decision to bring unlawful materials onto our tour bus that resulted in his arrest this morning,” said Nelly. “Neither I nor anyone else on the tour bus was aware of his decision to bring these on board. Law enforcement officials did not press charges against anyone other than that individual.” [People] [TMZ]
• After complaining about his health deteriorating from remaining behind bars, Conrad Murray was given a bigger cell. He went from a 5×7 foot cell to an 8×10 foot cell. Murray complained of blood clots in his legs and claims he was unable to keep them elevated, per doctor’s orders, because his cell was too small. [CNN]
• LaToya Jackson is demanding a full retraction and threatens a lawsuit against Vanity Fair. The magazine claims Jackson showed up to Michael’s house, shortly after his death, and filled a duffel bag with cash. In Jackson’s cease-and-desist letter she claims the article is “replete with misstatements of fact, false innuendos and defamatory insinuations.” [TMZ]
• Rihanna announced the title of her upcoming seventh studio album: Unapologetic. The pop star shared the name in addition to revealing the album artwork—a nude Rihanna covered with words like “Victory,” “Chalice,” “Faith” and “Side Effects.
