• Oprah Winfrey will receive the Hollywood Reporter’s Sherry Lansing Leadership Award for her outstanding leadership in the industry. Her good friend and fellow journalist Maria Shriver will present her with the award on December 11th at the 22nd Annual Women in Entertainment Breakfast at the Beverly Hills Hotel. “Oprah is an inspiration to us all,” said HR’s editorial director Janice Min. “She has wielded her tremendous influence to empower women both here in Hollywood and around the world and motivated countless individuals to contribute to causes that better their communities. • KeKe Palmer says she used to suffer from a colorist complex. In fact, she used to pray to have lighter skin. “When I was five yeas old, I used to pray to have light skin because I would always hear how pretty that little girl was, or I would hear I was petty to be dark skinned,” she said during a recent panel. Palmer later said she learned to love the skin she’s in around age 13. [Clutch]
• Drake’s third album, Nothing Was the Same, earned him the top spot on this week’s coveted Billboard charts. He sold 658,000 units—the largest single week sales in 2013 right behind Justin Timberlake’s The 20/20 Experience, which sold just under a million in a week. [Hollywood Reporter]
• After a lengthy battle with cancer, Howard Stern Show sidekick Robin Quivers has finally returned to work. It’s been 17 months since Quivers was last seen it the studio with Stern. “Seriously, I’ve been praying for this day… and I’m really happy that you are here,” said Stern.
