• Prince is set to make a rare television appearance on an upcoming episode of Fox’s comedy New Girl. The ESSENCE Festival headliner reportedly reached out to producers about making a guest appearance. The storyline will center around all-night dance parties, which Prince hosts at his home. The episode is expected to air right after the Super Bowl on February 2nd. [Page Six]
• Several of the jurors in the AEG Live Michael Jackson case feel “cheated” and admit to being somewhat confused by the verdict form. According to CNN, Katherine Jackson’s attorneys attached sworn statements, by several jurors, to a petition for a new trial. “After sitting through almost six months of the trial in this case, I believed that Mrs. Jackson had proven her case against AEG Live,” said one juror. “Despite this fact, I had no way of voting in favor of the plaintiffs because of the way that the verdict form was worded.” [CNN]
• Things could be over for Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom. According to TMZ, Kardashian is expected to file for divorce today. The reality TV star will cite irreconcilable differences in her petition. The couple also has a prenup in place—which should make for an easy divorce according to the law. Kardashian and Odom tied the knot in 2009 after a few weeks of dating. The entire spectacle was captured on Keeping Up with the Kardashians. [TMZ]
• Traci Braxton and Kevin Surratt will appear on the upcoming season of Marriage Bootcamp on WeTV. The couple, who have been married for 20 years, will have lots to cover on the new show. Director Jim Carroll shared, “Traci and Kevin have huge hurdles to overcome. They’ve made every mistake you can make, and infidelity would be poisonous to a marriage.” [YBF]
