• The TNT cop drama Southland starring Regina King, Benjamin McKenzie and Shawn Hatosy has gotten the ax. According to the Huffington Post, the network said it was a difficult decision. “We are enormously proud of Southland, which stands as one of the best police dramas ever made,” said TNT in a statement. “We also want to thank the amazing cast for their impassioned, no holds-barred performances, and the production team for their tenacity shooting on the streets of real-world Los Angeles. • Peeples starring Kerry Washington, Craig Robinson and David Alan Grier opened this weekend at number four with $4.8 million.
