• Serena Williams is the Associated Press’ 2013 Female Athlete of the Year for the third time in her career (2002 and 2009). The award caps off another amazing year for the tennis star, who picked up 11 titles, increased her Grand Slam championships to 17 and earned $12 million in prize money. • AEG believes Katherine Jackson is wasting her time appealing the jury’s not guilty verdict in the Michael Jackson wrongful death suit. Jackson said the jury didn’t quite understand the instructions under which they may or may not convict someone. On January 3rd, a judge will either dismiss or grant Jackson’s appeal. [TMZ]
