Diddy is returning to music producing and he’s collaborating with some of the biggest names, including Kanye West, to create a producer supergroup he’s calling “The Hitmen.” “Ladies and gentlemen I’m pleased to announce that I am back behind the board! A long and nasty custody battle between Damon Dash and Rachel Roy is finally over as Roy claims full custody of their two daughters. Both had been seeking custody of 15-year-old Ava and 6-year-old Tallulah, each claiming that the other had endangerd the girls’ lives in some way. Fantastic news on Bobbi Kristina Brown. The Houston family tells TMZ that she’s breathing on her own without any assistance from a ventilator. Even though she’s been taken off of life support, Bobbi Kristina has sustained “irreversible brain damage” and remains unresponsive. But this latest news seems to be a step toward recovery. [TMZ]
Georgetown University professor Michael Eric Dyson recently penned an open-letter in The New Republic about his former mentor, Dr. Cornel West, saying West’s rage against President Obama has turned him into a bitter, angry, irrational man.
“When you’re weighed down under the burden of extraordinary, personal bitterness, it just wipes away all the good stuff that you might say and makes us question what it is about the motivation for your criticism in the long run,” Dyson told The Root.
Dyson has effectively cut ties with West. Dr. West has not yet responded to Dyson’s criticisms. [The Root]
