• E! News host Terrence J will add author to his growing resume. The former 106 & Park host announced a book deal with HarperCollins’ It Books and will release his first work, The Wealth of My Mother’s Wisdom, this September. “During the process of playing the mama’s boy in Think Like a Man, I took an in-depth look at my own mother and her extraordinary journey of raising me while still a teenager herself,” said Terrence J. “I know that many of the successful moments in my life, personally and professionally, have been in part because of the lessons that she taught me, and I am proud to share her words of wisdom to inspire others.” [E! • AJ Calloway and his girlfriend, Dionne Walker, are engaged to be married. Calloway popped the question yesterday and the couple announced their news on Extra, where Calloway works as a correspondent. • Actor Laz Alonso is opening up about why he decided to join the cast of NBC’s new crime-drama Deception. He told EURweb, “It was the one pilot I read that season that I couldn’t put down,” said Alonso. “It was a page turner, and I found myself reading it more for my own personal enjoyment than studying for an audition that I was going to have in a couple days. And that’s how I knew there was something special here I really wanted to be a part of.” [EURweb]
• Former Destiny’s Child member LaTavia Robertson is expecting! The singer made the big announcement yesterday and also revealed her child, with an unidentified Atlanta producer, will be due on September 4. Robertson is also prepping for a reality show in which she will open up about a number of things. It will be executive produced by Carlos King, the man behind Real Housewives of Atlanta and Real Housewives of New Jersey and Oprah’s Season 25: Behind the Scenes.
