During the all-William’s semifinal match at the Rogers Cup, Venus had her first victory over his sister Serena for the first time since 2009. While Serena, 32, ranked in the No. 1 position, Venus, 34, was sitting at 26th. “I think for both of us, what’s so unique about the situation is that we’re both very good players,” said Venus. “I think we both know when we walk out there, it’s not like you’re guaranteed a win. I think that’s what makes it challenging for both of us.” Venus’ victory ended Serena’s 14-match winning streak at the Rogers Cup. The Hercules star posted the shocking picture of the aftermath on Instagram, informing fans that both of his family members did in fact survive. The Lifetime biopic about Aaliyah has made some major headway. After casting Aaliyah (Alexandra Shipp), the Wendy William-executive produced biopic has decided on a title. Based on Christoper Farley’s book, “Aaliyah: More Than a Woman,” the biopic will be called Aaliyah: Princess of R&B. The film has also decided on a few more cast members. Missy Elliott and Timbaland will be played by Chattrisse Dolabaille and Izaak Smith, while a lot of Aaliyah’s friends and family members will star in the film. [HuffingtonPost]
