Members of the Congressional Black Caucus (CBC) headed to Havana, Cuba, to meet with Cuban President Raul Castro on Monday, according to Reuters.com. The six-member team went to Cuba to begin talks on how the two countries can begin to find a way to work together. Cuban and U.S. relations have been sparse for the last 50 years. The meeting was closed to the press. President Obama is said to be considering easing the 47-year-old U.S. trade embargo against the communist-led island, but did not send the CBC on his behalf. —WLW
