Lieutenant Ray Albers has been relieved of duty and suspended indefinitely after a video of him pointing his weapon at protestors and shouting, “I will f—ing kill you,” surfaced online.
When asked to identify himself the officer tells the protestor to “Go f— yourself.”
A statement released by the St. Ann Police Department acknowledges that Albers pointed a semi-automatic assault rifle at a peaceful protestor after a verbal exchange. It goes on to say that a St. Louis County Police Sergeant immediately forced him to lower his weapon and escorted him away from the area.
The statement also adds, “The unified command strongly feel these actions are inappropriate and not inactive of the officers who have worked daily to keep the peace.”
