Comedian Craig Robinson was detained in the Bahamas Wednesday for drug possession.
According to the Huffington Post, a customs agent found a small amount of marijuana and 18 ecstasy pills when the actor was leaving the country.
He immediately appeared before a judge and pled guilty to two charges of drug possession. Robinson reportedly told the court he didn’t know the drugs were illegal in the island nation.
Robinson was ordered to pay a $1,000 fine and was ordered to leave the country. The Peeples star got off easy—he could have have faced four years in prison for the crime.
This isn’t the star’s first run in with the law for drug possession. In 2008, Robinson was arrested on suspicion of having ecstasy and methamphetamine. Those charges were eventually dismissed after he completed a diversion program.
Robinson’s publicist declined to comment on the situation.
