In a recent blog post on Bravo’s site, Cynthia kindly asks her sister to butt-out of her marriage. According to Cynthia, she loves her sister, but her marriage isn’t something she needs to interfere in. “My sister and I are 11 months apart,” she writes. “However, we are very different women. Different personalities, goals, dreams, and lives. I love my sister very much, but her interference with my marriage is a problem.”

She goes on to say, “I appreciate her concern, but at 44, I think I got this. I have no desire to make choices for Mal regarding her marriage, and I deserve the same respect. I confide in my sister because we are sisters. Not to be judged or criticized. Love you, Mal, but can you leave me and Peter alone?”
Let’s hope the drama can cool off enough for Cynthia and Peter to work on their own marriage. Mal has no place getting into her sister’s affairs — it just makes things worse.
Do you agree? Would you let your sister or best friend run your marriage?
