Damon Wayans Sr. is on hand to bring Lethal Weapon back to life.
Variety reports that the In Living Color comedian will star in the potential series as Roger Murtaugh, an LAPD detective.

Lethal Weapon first hit big screens in 1987 with Danny Glover as Murtaugh, a cop who suffers a “minor” heart attack and is ordered not to face any stress. His partner, Martin Riggs, a former Navy Seal, copes with the loss of his wife and young child and moves to Los Angeles for a fresh start.
Mel Gibson portrayed Gibbs in the film franchise. No word yet on who will be cast in that role for the reboot.
The film was a world wide box office success and subsequently spawned three sequels. Fox has ordered the Lethal Weapon pilot for the fall season.
