Milwaukee County Sheriff David A. Clarke, Jr. is calling for Americans to bring out their “pitchforks and torches” to combat our “corrupt” government.
Clarke has been a vocal supporter of Trump and once called Occupy Wall Street and the Black Lives Matter movements a symbol of anarchy:
“What we witnessed in Ferguson, in Baltimore, and in Baton Rouge was a collapse of social order. So many of the actions of the Occupy movement and Black Lives Matter transcend peaceful protest, and violates the code of conduct we rely on,” he told the crowd at the Republican National Convention in July. Now, it seems, Clarke is violating his own code of conduct by asking Americans to take up arms and use violence against the government and media.
“It’s incredible that our institutions of gov, WH, Congress, DOJ, and big media are corrupt & all we do is bitch. Pitchforks and torches time,” Clarke wrote on Twitter. It’s terrifying that Clarke, a man in charge of law and order, is calling for violence.

Allegations of inappropriate conduct and sexual assault have plagued Trump recently. Numerous women have come forward to share their stories, including former Miss Teen USA contestants who say Trump walked in on them while they were changing. Trump is also facing a lawsuit in which he is accused of raping a 13-year-old girl.
Clarke’s words come after Trump told a crowd in North Carolina, “The whole thing is one big fix. One big ugly lie. It’s one big fix.”
