If there’s one thing that Carol’s Daughter founder Lisa Price loves, it’s the holidays!
“I love Christmas time,” she gushed at a recent appearance at her namesake store in Brooklyn. “I love baking and playing Christmas carols.”
From devotees like Jada Pinkett Smith (who just can’t get enough of the Goddess Oil; which Price notes she plans on bringing back in time for Mother’s Day 2010) to athlete LeBron James (who loves the Sweet Honey Dip Chocolate Brown Sugah Scrub, $34, carolsdaughter.com, celebs just can’t seem to get enough of her products!
This season, the beauty maven is gifting family and friends with her homemade baked goodies, but her present to Carol’s Daughter consumers is even more delicious–she’s sharing her exclusive recipe for one of the brand’s top selling items: Peppermint Sea Salt Scrub.
“You can make a big batch and give it away,” she said. “People are always surprised at how easy it is to make!”
Price has already started sharing her body recipe with the masses during in-store appearances. The recipe, which includes salt scrub, tapioca pearls and peppermint essential oils, is super-easy to make–and if you’re not a fan of peppermint, you can replace it with your favorite essential oil.
Here’s the recipe:
Peppermint Scrub
2 cups of table grade, fine sea salt
4 oz. of an oil base like sunflower or soy oil
2 tbsp of dried peppermint leaves (you can also use the contents of 2 peppermint tea bags)
1/2 tsp of essential oil of peppermint
Stir ingredients together in a bowl and mix thoroughly. Spoon into a jar.
