Today a jury of five women and seven men convicted Dr. Conrad Murray of involuntary manslaughter in the propofol death of Michael Jackson.
The news comes a mere two days after deliberations began in the six-week trail.

The jury heard testimony from 49 witnesses, including many medical experts.
Now convicted, Murray faces up to four years in prison and will likely lose his medical license.
Before sending the jury to deliberations on Thursday, Judge Michael Pastor gave specific instructions. They were ordered to convict Murray if they believe one of the following: “he committed a legal act — giving the anesthetic propofol as a licensed physician — but in a criminally negligent way, or failed to perform his legal duty as Jackson’s doctor,” according to the L.A. Times.

Now that the trial is over, expect to see a media rollout of the entire trial. Murray reportedly has been shopping the footage of the trial process to major networks. The station that decides to pick up the documentary will also land the first post-trial interview with the doctor.
However, California has expanded laws that prohibit criminals from profiting from their crimes, and a sale following a conviction could run afoul of those statutes.
Upon the court revealing today’s verdict Murray was taken into custody without out bail. He will remain locked up until the sentencing on November 29th.
