The nominations are in!
Drake leads the pack of 2013 BET Awards nominations with 12. The rapper is nominated four times in the Best Collaboration category, five times in the Video of the Year category, twice in the Coca Cola Viewers Choice Award category and once in the Best Male Hip Hop Artist category.
Alicia Keys, Tamar Braxton, Rihanna, Elle Varner and ESSENCE Festival performer Beyoncé were nominated in the Best Female R&B/Pop Artist category. Mary Mary was nominated in the Best Group category as well as the Best Gospel category.
Angela Bassett, Halle Berry, Taraji P. Henson, Gabrielle Union and Kerry Washington rounded out the Best Actress category, while Don Cheadle, Common, Jamie Foxx, Samuel L. Jackson and Denzel Washington rounded out the guys’ category.
ESSENCE cover star and Olympian Gabrielle Douglas earned a nomination in the Youngstars Award category along with KeKe Palmer, Jaden Smith, Jacob Latimore and Black Women in Hollywood honoree Quvenzhané Wallis.
