Former NFL player Ed Hartwell is pushing back against a famous doctor who was set to testify in the ugly divorce from his ex Keshia Knight Pulliam.
According to TMZ, Pulliam had requested Dr. Bennet Omalu to testify in the divorce proceedings. Omalu is the highly-respected doctor who discovered Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy (CTE). His character was played by Will Smith in the movie “Concussion.”
But Hartwell is arguing that Omalu does not know him nor has Omalu ever examined him. Hartwell filed paperwork in court claiming that Pulliam was playing dirty by bringing Omalu in at the last minute.
The former football player was selected in the fourth round of the NFL Draft by the Baltimore Ravens in 2001. During his seven-year career, he played for the Atlanta Falcons, Cincinnati Bengals and the Oakland Raiders.
He filed for divorce in the fall of 2016 just a month after Pulliam had announced she was expecting his baby. They only dated for 4 months before getting married in January 2016.
