Benet and his wife, Maneula Testolini, welcomed little Lucia on December 21.
The proud papa couldn’t be more excited about his new bundle of joy. “Manuela and I are overjoyed with baby Lucia! She is perfect in every way and, as expected, Manuela is truly proving to be the world’s best mother,” says Benet in a statement released this morning.

“She is so attentive, nurturing and loving. Little Lucia also gets a doting big sister in India, and an older, wiser daddy this time around. We must be the happiest family on the planet right now.”
The couple wed on July 31 in a Newport Beach, California ceremony, but spent the first months of their marriage apart due to Eric’s busy touring schedule. Benet revealed to ESSENCE.com, “It’s difficult being apart, but it’s been great when we’re together. Manuela and I have the rest of our lives to share.”
Benet is expecting to put out his seventh studio album this fall.
