There’s been a lot of tension lately between police officers and civilians. Since the deaths of Michael Brown and Eric Garner by police officers, people all over the country have been protesting and questioning police officer training and tactics.
Over the weekend, two NYPD officers were gunned down by a mentally ill man reportedly seeking to avenge the deaths of Garner and Brown.
Some politcal agents are using these tragic murders to say that the protests are anti-police, and are inciting violence againt those officers sworn to protect our communities.
In fact, the NYPD believes that NYC Mayor Bill de Blasio has completely turned his back on the police force and hasn’t been offering them any support since the grand jury decision about Eric Garner.
We want to know what you think. Is it possible to question police tactics and still be supportive of police officers? Take our poll and let us know in the comments what you think it will take to mend the relationship between police and civilians.
