A new map of New York City created from 2012 Census data shows that despite the city’s diversity, it’s one of the most segregated in the United States.
The map, made by University of Chicago masters student Daniel Kay Hertz, got us thinking about segregation today. Segregation laws have been struck down for 50 years now, but how integrated are we really in our personal lives? For example, how diverse is your close circle of friends? Why? Let us know below!
