Sometimes it seems like there just aren’t enough hours in the day to get everything done. Between working, making time for meals, running errands, and helping the other people in your life, you may find that you barely have time for yourself.
But the solution may be found in proper planning. In a recent article on Entreprenuer.com, writer John Meyer suggests that we all dedicate 20 minutes a day to setting daily goals.
“The 20 minutes you spend today can save hours tomorrow and turn a good day into a great day,” John Meyer says.
Committing just a few minutes a day to list-making can really help alleviate some stress, he suggests. Planning can even help you learn to make your needs a priority, according to the author.
“[Planning] means declining interesting opportunities,” Meyer says. “This means saying no without worrying about hurting someone’s feelings. This means realizing that saying no today allows you to say yes tomorrow to something that means more.”
