Yesterday, we shared the story of Carlesha Freeland-Gaither, a 22-year-old woman who was abducted off the streets of Philadelphia Sunday night. Surveillance video captured her chilling abduction on tape.
In the video you can see the struggling Freeland-Gaither being dragged and forced into her captor’s car. You can also see another car approaching the scene of the crime and lingering, before the suspect’s vehicle drives away. You may also be able to see another bystander in the distance running by as Freeland-Gaither is dragged into the car.
Witnesses came forward and told the Philadelphia police all they could to help identify the suspect. Thankfully, Freeland-Gaither has been found alive and well, and a suspect in her kidnapping is now in custody. However, there are people who say the entire ordeal could have been avoided if one of the witnesses tried to physically help her on the night of her abduction.
