Midterm election results are in and it looks like Republicans have seized control of Congress.
The GOP now has majority rule over both the House and the Senate after yesterday’s election. They also have more power to make changes to the policies laid out by the Obama Administration.
“For too long, this administration has tried to tell the American people what is good for them and then blame somebody else for when their policies didn’t work out,” new Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said in a victory speech yesterday.
“We are humbled by the responsibility the American people have placed with us,” said House Speaker John Boehner. “It’s time for the government to start getting results and implementing solutions to the challenges facing our country.”
What do you think this means? Will President Obama have to put up a fight against Congress for the next two years? Will he meet little resistance in getting new policies made? Take our poll and let us know in the comments how you think the election results will affect you.
