If it was up to you, what would gun laws in America look like?
In an interview with BBC, President Obama recently admitted that not being able to pass “common sense gun safety laws” in America has been the greatest frustration of his presidency. Just hours after his interview, a gunman opened fire at a movie theater in Lafayette, Louisiana, claiming the lives of two people and injuring several others.
The incident in Louisiana comes a little over a month after 9 churchgoers were shot and killed by recently indicted shooter, Dylann Roof.
President Obama elaborated on the gun issue saying, “If you look at the number of Americans killed since 9/11 by terrorism, it’s less than 100. If you look at the number that have been killed by gun violence, it’s in the tens of thousands.”
So, if you could have your wish when it comes to gun laws in America what would it be? Would they be stricter? Would guns only be available after mental evaluation? Or would they be outlawed all together?
