On tonight’s episode of Oprah’s Lifeclass, Nia Long discusses being a single mom while promoting her new movie Single Moms Club.
In the clip, our April cover girl speaks specifically to dating as a single mom, recalling her first date after breaking up with her oldest son’s father. Long shared how once while being picked up by her date in a Suburban truck, her son Massai said, “My daddy has big ol’ blue truck and it’s faster than this one!”
The actress said the experience taught her to “introduce kinda early” because children know when their mom is dating regardless of how you try to mask it.
What do you think? When is the right time to introduce the man you’re dating to your child?
